Adult Volunteers (18+)

Volunteering with Young People

Each week during term time our volunteers help young people gain skills for life through activities and adventure. Most of our Volunteers work directly with young people aged 6 – 14+  through our groups know as sections which for us are: Scouts, Cubs and Beavers.

Working in Teams they might

  1. Welcome young people to sessions and events
  2. Ensure everyone is safe supported and having fun
  3. Help plan and lead activities
  4. Get involved with days out, camps and expeditions
  5. share and learn new skills from craft to water sports

No experience needed, if you can help out regularly or when available basis Training is provided learning and networking opportunities  every step of the way.

Behind the Scenes help

Your time and skills can make a difference to the group and you don’t have to volunteer working directly with young people, but can help out in other ways

  1. Get the best out of the Volunteers using people and leadership skills.
  2. Promote the group to attract new members
  3. Help with Admin, fundraising, finances , operations and governance for the group.
  4. Keep everything running smoothly across the group

Whatever help you can offer you will always be welcome
